When I Was Hungry ....

Over on the blog Telling Secrets, the Rev. Elizabeth Kaeton speaks of feeding body and spirit. Toward the end of her essay, she includes a YouTube snippet on a young man, Jeff Rarick, living in the tiny upstate New York hamlet of Vesper who is bringing into fruition (with the labor, machinery and donations of others) dreams he has had over the years of actually feeding the hungry.

You may have seen this on Facebook - if you are a devotee - but if you have not, check out this clip. His sincerity is obvious, as is his simple mission ... feeding the hungry. So, from this Farm to the Matthew 25 Farm: Godspeed! Any of GF readers interested in helping out can use the following links for info, directions, suggestions.

Here is the Matthew 25 website: http://matthew25farm.org

Here is the YouTube snippet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-sTtgeFjEA&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Ftelling%2Dsecrets%2Eblogspot%2Ecom%2F&feature=player_embedded

Thank you, Elizabeth, for your continuing ministry in feeding us, one way and another.

N.B. Barbara Crafton will be leading a retreat at Christ Church in Vestal, NY on January 2010. All of her upcoming bookings can be found at the "Upcoming Events" section on the website header.

To the MOLC crowd: Sorry folks - you must again cut and paste. Just a few more days and I'll be back at my own computer!
