Daily Prayer on the Go
Here you are ... sitting at your computer or with your tablet/iPad. Two websites may be very helpful in putting a little prayer into each day.
http://www.episcopalchurchingarrettcounty.org/ is the website of two churches in Maryland: St. Matthew's in Oakland and St. John's in Deer Park.
This website offers us all several options for daily prayer: Morning Prayer, Noonday Prayer and Compline. All are podcasts (so you could get them on your 'smart phone' or computer). One of the priests says the entire service. Your options for response are myriad: read along, add the 'Amen's in the appropriate places, or just quietly soak it all in. Tune in while walking or grocery shopping or riding a bike; put the podcast on speaker and listen while driving or cooking or sorting through mail!
Another online resource is http://www.missionstclare.com/english/index.html. This website provides options for reading the morning or evening office of the day (including special readings for feast days), hearing the office [using the garrettcounty link] or hearing morning or evening prayer utilizing the New Zealand Prayer Book.
