Fathers and Sons

Father's Day will be approaching. There will be sermons in local churches throughout the country about fatherhood and the Fatherhood of the God the Father. I attach, for your reading and enrichment, a sermon by Pastor David J. Vander Laan, Minister of Hope Reformed Church (RCA)of George, IA. He was in radio broadcasting before going to seminary, is married with five kids (the 3 youngest of which are triplets!).

Pastor Dave has sent me a few sermons which I will be sharing with you. I want to encourage you - yes, YOU - also to send in an example of your work that spreads the Good News! For this one, thanks Pastor Dave.

Thanks for posting this sermon. As you promised, it is inspirational. I think that the church, like most large organizations, sometimes has trouble hearing the hard information, even when it is presented to it. Prophetic deacons can not usually expect to be thanked for their contributions. I pray that, in spite of that, they continue to present our needs to the larger body.
