What do YOU think about "The Book of Daniel"

The Book of Daniel is "limited" primetime series on NBC. Lots of hubbub from certain quarters because of all the story lines running and intertwining in each episode, most of which - although full of the grey areas of humanity - do not portray a particular Episcopal priest and his family as being totally functional and certainly not a piously saintly group....

Have you seen it? What do you think of it? Just add a comment below to get a sense of how Farmers throughout the states view this TV show.

You know, I kind of like it! The first episode was a bit over the top - just way too much happening to one man at the same time. It's a bit of Desperate Housewives drama. I'm still not sure how I feel about Jesus (in the show that is!). However, I loved Joan of Arcadia and all the different ways God was seen by her. I sure hope some others chime in with their thoughts. One person I know is concerned that this is the way our church might be viewed. Another thinks it's great fun...
So what do you think about the Book of Daniel?

I think "The Vicar Of Dibley" is so much better.

I saw a couple of episodes - while I believe that ministers are people and that "stuff" happens to them as it does to all of us, I was disappointed that such a person as Daniel could not often take much of a stand for right/good and so often just looked bewildered. As someone else said, I love the Vicar of Dibley if you can get around the language (unnecessary to the plot and situation) and concentrate more on the wonderfully interconnected relationships this parish(village) has - they all guide each other but in the end, the "vicar" gets them to make better decisions when situations arise. There's a lot of love among these people. In "Daniel", all I saw was a lot of confused human beings.
