Pumpkins...... pumpkins........... no squash here

This little thought was passed on by my good friend C... her Dad sent it to her. Thanks, Ms. C and Dad......(I confess to making a few additions)

Being a vital Christian is like being a pumpkin- being turned into a 'Jack-o'lantern' is a matter of God's unfailing grace.

God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.

He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, pride, fear, jealousy, etc.

Then He carves you a special face - no two exactly alike - and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

This was passed on to me from another pumpkin. Keep the pumpkin parable rolling.....
