..it may not be the river Jordan
......but I HAVE seen Lake Michigan. It was a hot, very windy day. Sailboats were tilting almost parallel to the water, but zooming along.
It was good to squeeze a summer experience to an afternoon. Having grown up going to the New Jersey shore each and every summer, then off the North Carolina coast for 2 summers, it is in my blood to feel the sand under my feet and water sloshing at least up to my mid-calf. SUCCESS!!!!!!!! Despite some significant wind, it was wonderful. I saw "Big Red" the beloved lighthouse that was 'saved' by the people of Holland, Michigan.
Just dropped in to say "hi" to everyone. Will be away from computer access during the week. After next week, Web Dude Matt and I will have a conference and I'll put together my bio and headshot (yet to be taken this week) and then there will be a few changes so you-all can see what this virtual deacon looks like and does from time to time.
Tomorrow? A marathon packing in Chelsea of many a vehicle and tow-trailer to go back to Holland to unload there. At that point, C will be about 95% moved and I head back east.
So.... wish me and my back luck..... and Emmy the satisfaction of terrorizing a park which has a significant overpopulation of grey and black squirrels! A good cardio workout I've been told!
Later, DJ
