I'll Be Home for Christmas
My thoughts have turned this song to a prayer - joining with the prayers of many across this country - going out to those in our country's military service and to their extended families.
I'll be Home for Christmas was written by Walter Kent (composer) and James"Kim" Gannon(lyrics) copyright Sep. 27, 1943 and made famous by Bing Crosby.
Although this song was written during World War II expressing the longing of the soldiers at that time, it surely must be as appropriate this Christmas as it was back then.
We wish you were home with us, too.

(Intro)I'm dreamin' tonight of a place I love
Even more then I usually do.
And although I know it's a long road back
I promise you
I'll be home for Christmas
You can plan on me.
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree.
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams.
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams.
