"God Spoke to Me Today"

The following piece was submitted by Geranium Farmer Jamy Fox of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thank you, Jamy, for sharing your writing with us.

God Spoke to Me Today

I noticed you kneeling in my house today. It's good to see you back;
I wanted to bring you before me and tell you so in person, but I
know your eyes are too delicate to withstand the impact of seeing me.
And, before filling your eyes with myself for eternity, I want you to
know the smaller joys of seeing my creation.
There were holy people you could watch for a while longer you will be allowed to
recognize me in them before I removed the pall before your face.
You knew I am among you, and that pleases me.
I know you want to tell me how lonely you were without me, but
I know how you've been, and it's more important to me that you
are happy to be back in my home.
I will send you out again when you are stronger;
you will not stumble this time without realizing I am truly with you
wherever you are.
Rejoice. The hour when you may serve forever in my total presence is close.
I have promised there is that day when you and your friends
will not be needed to serve on my earth, so be of good cheer.
You go in my Name, and my door shall always be opened to you.
Don't be so concerned over your sins. Bring and leave them with me,
and don't grieve so about them.
You cannot know the cost with which I ransomed you,
and you displease me condemning yourself whom I love so much
I sent my Son to rescue you from yourself.
I have not condemned you, so do what I have asked
while trying to offend me no more.
Put your spirit in my hands, and I will help you reach the perfection of which
you're now so afraid.
You can be strong just knowing I shall never take away your thirst for me.
I know you want all your friends to share with me what you are sharing,
and it is good to hear you pray for each, having faith that I hear your whispers like I hear the prayers from the holiest of my servants.
But don't forget to ask me for what you need also: your health
must be good so you can help me with those men for whom you now so
desperately pray. Now, enjoy thanking me for my blessings before you
leave, and be on your way until next Sunday trusting me to watch over you until
then.

Oprah...For Real

Many people don't have the time during the day - or night - to watch the Oprah Winfrey TV show, nor would they ordinarily make time to watch even if they had the time.

Over the last year I've broken away from the idea that this woman is a living cliche and begun to have an appreciation of who Oprah Winfrey is and how she inspires and supports so many others who are less fortunate than she.

You just might want to look at her website - which gives a more in depth look at the topics she brings up, the subjects that interest her viewers, the experts (and their invaluable advise) she makes available without charge to anyone who cares to explore this site. As an example, click on the subject "Spirit". Under that heading, topics include: Know Yourself, Inspiration, Emotional Health, Body Image. Experts include Marianne Williamson, Michael Losier, Elizabeth Lesser, Martha Beck and Eckhart Tolle.

Click on Oprah's website. And be prepared to be surprised. I certainly was!
