Another website for a Spirit-full Life

Spirituality & Practice (link found below and also on the Links section of our website www.geraniumfarm.org) is doing an interesting series just now on compassion.

There is a link to a YouTube piece and readers are responding to the following question: How do you exercise your compassion? Great question that can lead to either dialogue with others and/or interior personal inventory. Go to the following link to explore further: http://www.spiritualityandpractice.com/

Another Writer and Blogger of Note

The Rev. Jan Nunley was a very familiar face at The Episcopal Church Center in New York City for many years. An accomplished journalist and communicator in several media, Jan got the Episcopal News Service on the digital track

At the Cathedral recently a small book was on display with a catchy title: How Many Lightbulbs Does It Take To Change a Christian? Sure enough, Jan wrote this along with Claire Foster and David Shreeve. We are challenged, as good stewards of the Earth God has left in our trust and its high time we find ways to treat it - and its incredible resources - in a far more positive, intentional way for the benefit of all peoples now and those to come. This small paperback would be a thought-provoking spark in parish planning, youth involvement and personal stewardship.

Jan also keeps a blog entitled Jawbones, which you can access by using this link: http://jawbones.typepad.com/

Actions taken by the Episcopal Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America at their recent national gatherings

In the last of a long string of articles, you can now use this link to see what happened at General Convention, Anaheim 2009 by going to: http://www.episcopalchurch.org/79901_113303_ENG_HTM.htm

To check out everything that happened at the Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in Minneapolis, you can go to the denomination website: http://www.elca.org . The largest group of Lutherans in the United States, the ELCA is in full communion with our Episcopal Church. There are links on their site similar to the Anaheim "Web Hub" for video clips, interviews, etc.
