Keep Us, Lord, from Ourselves!

This quotation is the standard closing line in the Rev. Brian O. McHugh's transmissions to us and I simply can't resist sharing it with all of you.

"It is possible to be morally upright repulsively." - Archbishop William Temple

It's a reminder to me that love never needs a side order of arrogance!

Fr. McHugh's essays can be found in the "A Few Good Writers" section on The Farm's Website: www.geraniumfarm.org.

P.S. The Geranium Farm has once again been nominated for an award at divinecaroline.com. If you enjoy what you read in any (or many) features on The Farm, why not cast your vote by clicking on the voting badge on the home page - or go to http://www.divinecaroline.com/awards/Aug-09/1787. As the Bartles and James commercial of yesteryear would say, " ... and we thank you fer your support!".
